How to Group Elements in Canva?
When you’re working on a project in Canva, you may want to group elements. For example, if you’re creating a flyer, you may want to group the text and images so that you can move them around as a unit. Or, if you’re creating a presentation, you might want to group several slides so that you can duplicate or reorder them easily. Luckily, Canva makes it easy to group elements. Look at the example below.
Using the rectangular tool (see the orange arrows), you can select the elements that you want to group ( in our example, we have 4 elements: plane, balloon, 2 texts), click the “Group” (Please see the red arrow) button in the top toolbar, and voila! Your elements are now grouped.
If you want, you can ungroup them at any time by clicking the “Ungroup” button (Please see the red arrow pointing up)
So, next time you’re working on a project in Canva, don’t forget that you can always group elements to the same time and effort.
If you want more control over your groups, you can create your own by adding shapes or other elements to your design. To do this, drag and drop the element you want to add to the group.
